English Oak Table

English Oak Table
23 Aug 2018 By Corwell

Here we have a English Oak table that is half way through it's making process. The chunky look and character oak displaying the knots and splits is exactly what the client was looking for.

We hand selected the timber to get the perfect look. The columns were 8" airdried Oak beams, the top and feet kiln dried english oak bought from a great timber yard in Wiltshire.

The remaining process will be to glue the underframe leg sections together, sand the top and it will be ready for staining and oiling. A table this size will be very heavy so the leg sections are separate, the lower strecher rail detachable and obviously the top in plank form.

Once finished it can be easily transported, assembled and become an exquisit piece to be admired for generations to come
